Under the theme "youth and traditional culture: inheritance and development through interaction", over 160 TV professionals from China, Japan, and South Korea convened in Qingdao West Coast New Area for a three-day exchange and discussion session.
On Feb 25, the 22nd China-Japan-South Korea TV Producers Forum commenced at the China Movie Metropolis in Qingdao West Coast New Area.
During the forum, each country showcased one TV drama, one documentary, and one variety show. Creators were invited to share their creative experiences and engage in dialogue with audience representatives.
Through the exchange of works among the three countries, the forum aimed to explore how young people preserve and connect with their respective traditional cultures and how contemporary TV productions can innovate while remaining anchored in their respective cultures, revitalizing tradition in the modern era.
Established in 2001, the China-Japan-South Korea Television Producers Forum rotates among the three countries and has become one of the longest-running and most widely-participated cultural exchange activities among the three nations.
The venue for the forum, Qingdao West Coast New Area, is the ninth national-level new area in China and a leader in high-quality economic development in Qingdao.
In recent years, Qingdao West Coast New Area has actively promoted itself as a Metropolis of Film and established the world-class Qingdao Film and Television Base.
