Qingdao's beer festival wins two int'l awards

At the 2024 Pinnacle Awards & Asia Festival City Conference in Thailand, the Qingdao International Beer Festival clinched two international awards –"Most Festive Atmosphere" and "Best Cultural and Creative Product".

"As one of China's most influential festivals, the Qingdao International Beer Festival bolster's the reputation of Qingdao's 'Beer City' in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA)," said Zheng Ganghuan, president of the Asia division of the International Festivals & Events Association.

Established in 1991, the Qingdao International Beer Festival is China's most prominent globally-recognized beer event. The festival has seen remarkable success over the past nine years, since its relocation to the Golden Beach Beer City in Qingdao WCNA in 2015. It has broken records in terms of number of participants, visitor satisfaction, international reach, social impact, economic contribution and media exposure.

The festival stands out as Asia's largest outdoor event, joining the ranks of the world's most renowned beer festivals like Oktoberfest in Munich, London Beer Festival in the UK and Denver Beer Festival in the USA.

During the 33rd Qingdao International Beer Festival in 2023, the Golden Beach Beer City saw an impressive 6.17 million trips from around the world over the course of 24 days. The festival showcased over 2,000 beer brands and served 2,700 metric tons of beer.
