WCNA to hold national-level audiovisual creation summit

The 2023 China Netcasting Creation Summit is scheduled to be held in Qingdao West Coast New Area (Qingdao WCNA) from August 24 to 25.

The summit is the first professional event in the national online audiovisual industry that aims to promote high-quality content production.

It will feature an opening ceremony, main forum, nine sub-forums and a range of activities, including policy announcements, creation showcases, partnership agreements and content copyright trading. Its primary goal is to emphasize the production and distribution of online audiovisual content and to summarize the gained experience.

The chosen web animation for the China classic folk story animation creation project will be announced at the main forum. Esteemed scholars, writers, directors, exemplary creators of online audiovisual content and internet celebrities will be invited to give keynote speeches.

In addition, the summit will include drone performances, e-commerce livestreams for agricultural support, live broadcasts of outstanding online audiovisual programs and immersive exhibitions showcasing intelligent audiovisual effects.

The Qingdao WCNA has been dedicated to building a nationally-leading film and television industrial base. The area is home to the Oriental Movie Metropolis, the largest film-studio complex in the world. Blockbusters shot there include The Wandering Earth and Pacific Rim: Uprising. It adheres to international standards and holds certification from Pinewood Studios, a renowned British film and television studio.
