On June 14, the 2025 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day intangible cultural heritage (ICH) promotion event began at Chaosheng Living Hall in Fushan Park of Shinan district, Qingdao.

With the theme "Integrating into Modern Life – Intangible Heritage in Full Bloom", the event launched eight segments with over 60 activities online and offline, showcasing Shinan's progress in ICH protection. Opening performances blended traditional arts like Jiuyi guqin, mantis boxing, and bird-and-insect seal script with modern aesthetics.

Shinan released its annual ICH activity schedule featuring a special market, highlight events, competitions, exhibitions, and experiential projects. An AI painting contest explored digital innovation, while educational programs nurtured young artists.

Seventeen new district-level intangible heritage items were recognized, while a heritage workshop market was opened as well, inviting the public to experience traditional culture firsthand.

The event highlights Shinan's innovative blend of technology, cultural tourism, and living traditions, injecting new vitality into the district's cultural roots.
