On the morning of May 19, Qingdao's 2025 China Tourism Day celebration officially kicked off at Shuilongchizi Square in Shinan district's historic Zhongshan Road area. Seizing the opportunity, the Shinan district culture and tourism bureau launched a series of immersive promotional events, offering both residents and visitors a rich cultural tourism experience.
Highlights included cultural roadshows, creative markets, live performances, and an innovative in-flight campaign, all showcasing the unique charm of Shinan's tourism offerings. In the afternoon, the roadshow moved to the East Square of Qingdao Railway Station, where 18 cultural and tourism enterprises presented over 30 exclusive deals. From discounted hotel stays and attraction tickets to trendy photo spots and cultural venues, visitors were treated to a diverse lineup of promotions.
Meanwhile, a creative cultural market featuring 10 traditional workshops offered intricate handicrafts and trendy products, attracting locals and tourists alike. The event also featured live cultural performances, including comedy and traditional magic, turning the square into a lively hub of celebration.
In a pioneering move, Shinan partnered with Qingdao Airlines to launch the ''Fly to the Bay'' campaign, transforming airplane cabins into flying tourism showrooms. Passengers received custom maps, gift packs, and cultural souvenirs, sparking enthusiastic sharing on social media and extending the district's reach beyond the ground.
Looking ahead, Shinan will continue strengthening its cultural tourism offerings, aiming to become a world-class coastal destination full of stories, beauty, and vibrancy.
