Creating murals in the old region is quite challenging. Due to the age of the buildings, many of the walls have cracks or indentations that require addressing before they can be painted on. During the painting process, a firmer stroke is also needed.
"It's cold, and after painting outside for a long time, I feel completely frozen. However, seeing the old city walls rejuvenated by my brush strokes and everyone coming to admire them gives me a great sense of accomplishment," said Ren Hao, creator of the mural in Shinan.
Meanwhile, the Red House Art Museum launched Ne Zha 2 stamps, allowing people to leave their mark on postcards while enjoying the murals.

The tick-off economy has led to cultural and tourism revitalization in the old region of Shinan.
In addition, from December 2024 to the end of February 2025, Shinan held a "find the seagull" urban tick-off stamp collection activity, allowing people to search for seagulls in the streets, where classical and modern elements intertwine.
