Even though the eight-day Spring Festival holiday has come to an end, Qingdao's Shinan district remains a popular destination among tourists.

Throughout the 2024 Spring Festival holiday, the culture and tourism sector in Shinan district performed well. The district's 10 A-level scenic spots collectively welcomed 2.05 million visitors, a 301.97-percent increase compared to the previous year.

Qingdao Tourism Group received over 10,000 visitors in a single day during the Spring Festival golden week. In the first five days of the holiday, the traffic flow in Zhongshan Road shopping area exceeded 1.25 million.

During the festival, 18 museums in the district were open, welcoming a total of 123,800 visitors. As part of their "Celebrating the Chinese New Year" series, the museums held eight exhibitions highlighting the Year of the Dragon, history, art, and folk culture, featuring more than 90 activities.
