The China Paddleboard Club League and National Paddleboard U Series (Qingdao Station) took place at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center in Shinan district of Qingdao on Oct 6.

The event featured various categories including Open, Masters, Youth and Team divisions, attracting more than 150 participants from across the country.

For the Youth categories, the top male players in terms of total points included Yang Yuke, Lyv Jinyang and Zhang Minghe, while the top female players were Yan Yulu, Tian Tianyu and Zhang Wenxiu.

In the Open category, the top male player in terms of total points was Li Zirui, while the top female player was Wang Hongmei. Li Hongsheng was the top male player in the Masters category.

The event also included a special team competition – the 200 meters Relay Race, the champions of which were Zhang Meng, Li Zirui, Xu Haoxian, Zhu Yingwen and Wang Hongmei from Chaoyang Team.

Paddleboarding is a challenging and visually appealing water sport that combines elements of paddling, sliding and balancing. Qingdao has seen rapid development in paddleboarding in recent years, with over three hundred enthusiasts in the city.

This event is the highest-level competition organized by the China Paddleboard Club, and the competition venue at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center meets world-class standards.
