Shinan strives to become model industrial district

With the expansion of its six key industries, namely the modern finance, the digital economy, high-end business, fashion consumption, shipping logistics, and cultural tourism, Shinan district in Qingdao is doing its part to contribute to the city's efforts in building a modern international metropolis, aiming to become a model district ideal for living, working and traveling.
The Qingdao Foreign Legal Affairs Center project, a significant undertaking in high-end business, is scheduled to open in March of the following year. More than 20 law firms have already signed up for the project.
With half of the city's financial institutions located in the district, a comprehensive assessment of Shinan's modern service industry ranked first in Qingdao in the first half of this year.
Rich in culture, Shinan has adopted new business models that are appropriate for the area. Culturally significant places such as Silver Fish Street have drawn tourists back to the historic part of Qingdao and supported a thriving local economy.

Furthermore, with the added value of the service industry in Shinan district reaching 126.56 billion yuan ($17.6 billion) in 2021, Shinan is blazing a new development path driven by capital, technology, and talents.
