Mid-Autumn Festival holiday tour itinerary

The three-day Mid-Autumn Festival holiday will begin on Sept 10. Here are a few places and events in Qingdao's Shinan district that you won't want to miss.
Taiping Mountain cableway is presenting activities that combine sightseeing with traditional Chinese culture. Visitors can sit in a cable car after getting dressed in hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) and take picture for free.

For visitors who are looking for a place to admire beautiful lanterns and guess riddles, Qingdao Haitian Center is a great place to go, and awards await you. At the center, you can also go to concerts and explore the universe through a professional telescope.
The Qingdao Library is planning to host various traditional Chinese culture activities, including chanhua – handmade flowers, a guqin (a seven-string musical instrument) lesson and online Confucianism lectures.
For traditional Chinese culture lovers, Shiguang Yinji Print Museum is a great place to go. Visitors can dress in hanfu, which is provided by the museum, and making lanterns.
Autumn is known as the "golden season of delicacies", such as various seafood dishes and fruits, which go down perfectly with Qingdao Beer.
As for history buffs, there are two places that are highly recommended. Yinyu Lane bears unique cultural memories and is where traditional and modern come together. Guangdeli 1898 is a street yet a museum of Qingdao catering culture and cultural history. After lunch, it's a great place to take a refreshing walk.
The district also offers some marvelous places for visitors who want to experience nature. One of the best places to appreciate the beauty of the sea is Xiaoqingdao. From the top of Xiaoyu Mountain, you can see the entire old town. The flowers and foliage at Eight Great Passes are flourishing and complement the various styles of architecture to enchant visitors.
There are also festival galas held for visitors. During the holiday, performances will be held in Wusi Square on Sept 10 and 11.
