The First Qingdao Courtyard Music Season kicked off at No 18 Taipingjiao Art Center in Shinan district on Aug 18, with Qingdao City Philharmonic Orchestra staging a string ensemble.

The event was organized by Shinan district's publicity department, culture and tourism bureau, Badaguan subdistrict and the district's cultural center.

The music season will run for three months with six outdoor classical music performances featuring stringed instruments, woodwind instruments, a brass instrument ensemble, as well as films and animation music.

The outdoor performances are designed to integrate music with the grassland, architecture and nighttime scenery, creating a relaxing and organic artistic vibe.
