An "entrepreneurs' night" activity was held on July 26 at the Shangjieli historical block in Qingdao's Shinan district.

As a supporting event of the first Shangjieli Beer Festival, the activity was themed on "innovative development leads to a better future" and enabled local entrepreneurs to visit historical sites and discuss cooperation opportunities.

Fu Yuexin, deputy chief of Shinan district, introduced industries and investment policies to the attendees during the activity and invited them to participate in the district's historical blocks protection and development initiatives.

In recent years, Shinan has prioritized the improvement of government services to help companies boost industrial development.

The local government has also strengthened policy support, increased the amount of subsidies, and facilitated communication between government departments.

Since the beginning of this year, Shinan has awarded 654 companies with 510 million yuan ($75.63 million) subsidies, which is double the total amount in 2021.

Government officials visited local companies more than 3,000 times to learn about the development situation and needs, and solved more than 200 issues in the first six months of this year.

In addition, the district recently established a business environment development promotion center to mobilize resources in sub-districts and industrial departments to enhance the quality and efficiency of government services.
