The first Shangjieli Beer Festival will be held in Qingdao's Shinan district from July 22 to 31, according to the organizers.

The festival will set up a main venue at Haishi Shanmeng Square (Catholic church on Zhejiang Road), and four sub-venues at Pingheli (No 28 courtyard in Sifang Road Block), Sanjiangli (No 24 Jining Road), the 1907 Film Museum (No 17 Hubei Road) and Silver Fish Lane (No 3 Ningyang Road).

Beer stalls will be set up across the district, along with beer houses, offering a dazzling array of drinking festivities for visitors.

During the 10-day beer gala, historical buildings in Shinan district will be lit up with light shows, while a 3D screen on Zhongshan Road – the largest in Qingdao – will display videos to visitors.

From July 23 to 31, nine themed music performances with distinctive styles such as percussion music, pop music, brass instruments, classical music, and jazz will be staged, and various music parties will be held at the four sub-venues.

In addition, bands will perform at the 1907 Film Museum, Qingdao Book House, and on Huangdao Road, Zhongshan Road, Feicheng Road, and Lanshan Road, to create a festive and artistic ambience across the district.

Shinan district also introduced six travel routes and a new travel guidebook to attract more tourists to experience the charm of the historical blocks in western Qingdao.

Five promotional events themed on finance, scientific research, public health, key companies and culture will be held at the 1907 Film Museum to facilitate cooperation and attract investment to Shinan.
