Recently, Shinan district in Qingdao has accelerated the layout and construction of normalized nucleic acid test sites. The test sites have been set up in a manner that enables all residents to reach one within a 15-minute walk from their homes or offices.
To date, thirty nucleic acid test sites have been set up across the district to ensure that all those in need can be tested as soon as possible. The local authorities will make dynamic adjustments for the number of test sites and medical workers.
The improvement is especially welcomed by communities with large elderly population.
At Yunnanlu sub-district, for example, a nucleic acid test site is set up in a mini park where many seniors often visit. The local authorities also invited public hospital doctors to offer free medical consultations at the site.
Another site at Yan'erdao Mountain Park was newly built, which is designed to serve surrounding residential areas, office buildings, and agricultural markets within a 15-minute walk.
At the Zijinghua Square, a green channel has been set up especially for food delivery drivers. The whole process from arriving at the site to finishing the test requires just several minutes.
In addition, the west branch of Qingdao Municipal Hospital and the Shinan District People's Hospital offer 24-hour nucleic acid tests to meet people's diverse needs.
