Shinan in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, held the fourteenth reading activity themed on classics on March 26 via online and offline links.

The activity was held by Shinan Culture and Tourism Bureau. It is aimed to explore the historical and cultural traditions in Shinan, showcase the charm and vitality of Qingdao and promote Shinan's culture to foreigners.

The activity was held on Signal Mountain, a landmark in Qingdao. Wang Yunfeng, a historian specializing in Qingdao history, and Wang Yong, director of the Camel Xiangzi Museum, were guest speakers at the event.

Since August last year, Shinan has held a large number of reading activities both online and offline to enrich citizens cultural awareness and promote Qingdao’s culture to foreigners.
