The Shinan district of Qingdao city – located in East China's Shandong province – is busy upgrading its Fushan Bay business district, employing a raft of measures to give the place a revamp, according to local media reports on Jan 12.
The goal is for the district to integrate and upgrade its Fushan Bay international and high-end commercial fashion area, accelerate the revitalization of leading and established brands, attract world-renowned first-store brands to locate there and create a new landmark fashion sector.
It is understood that Shinan will continue to make full use of the excellent locations at Hisense Square, Qingdao Mixc and the Haitian Center Mall in Fushan Bay – and build a complete industry supply chain integrating tourism, entertainment, shopping and accommodation.
In 2021, Hisense Square's turnover came in at 6 billion yuan ($944.52 million), further enhancing its development as an international landmark in the business area.
Moving forward, Fushan Bay is set to build an international art exhibition center and will also introduce immersive and experiential science and tech-savvy business projects – realizing the integration of culture, tourism and commerce.
