Shinan district honored as digital governance role model

The Shinan district of Qingdao – located in East China's Shandong province – performed admirably and recently won a couple of prestigious national titles for its initiatives in the field of digital governance.
The district won the honorary titles of "Optimization Model Authority 2021 Government Service and Business Environment" and "2021 Government Service Reform and Innovation Authority" at the Annual Conference on Digital Government Development, held in Beijing on Dec 17, according to media reports.
Shinan is said to be giving full play to its homegrown digital advantages. It is creating digital cultural innovation, exploring the development of smart scenic spots and improving the quality and upgrading cultural tourism scenic spots with intelligent robots, among other things.
During the current year, the district is said to have pioneered the integration of its urban government services model with a new path for the coordinated development of digital government services.
Furthermore, the district has initiated combined "online + offline" services, making things much easier for local businesses.
