Shinan aims to boost shopping season

Shinan district of Qingdao city, located in East China's Shandong province, is set to launch 320 marketing promotions and offer aggregated 370 million yuan ($5.75 million) in consumption subsidies for the 2021 Qingdao Consumption Season through both online and offline platforms, according to local media reports on Oct 17.
The shopping season, which kicked off in mid-October, will be followed by the distribution of shopping vouchers and a series of local activities designed to encourage people to buy cultural and tourism products and services.
A total of 320 themed activities involving 10 shopping sectors including catering, culture and tourism, automobiles, and household appliances, will be launched involving 8,600 local businesses.
Consumers can also participate in retail and catering activities, as well as in some online activities, giving them the chance to receive a 100-percent-off discount voucher or enjoy a random instant discount.
