The Shinan district of Qingdao city – located in East China's Shandong province – is busy upgrading its Fushan Bay business district, rolling out a raft of incentives and measures that are attracting flagship stores, according to local media reports on Aug 30.
To date, a total of 227 first stores – the premier outlets of prestige and luxury international and local brands – have settled in the district, among which 84 are newcomers that have moved to Shinan in the past year, up 58.7 percent on the same period last year.
It is understood that Shinan will continue to make full use of its excellent locations at Hisense Square, Qingdao Mixc and the Haitian Center Mall in Fushan Bay area – and build a complete industrial supply chain integrating tourism, entertainment, shopping and accommodation.
In addition, leading tech giant Huawei's global flagship store and a Shamrock FDD city flagship store are expected to open at the end of September. More and more noted brands are reportedly intent on entering the Fushan Bay Business district, which is fast becoming a shopping cluster of choice for international brands.
