The new Qingdao Scientific Instrument Industrial Park was inaugurated on July 18 in the Shinan Software Park – which is located in Qingdao city in East China's Shandong province – according to local media reports.

Currently, the core and key technologies for scientific instruments in China are still in the development period and the independent control and localization of scientific instruments is widely regarded as an important starting point – for the scientific self-reliance and self-improvement of Qingdao.

In addition, a special industrial fund was reportedly established in the industrial park.

It is understood that through a multi-level investment management service system – that integrates capital, science and technology with the incubation of high-quality projects – local Shinan enterprises will be given priority to settle in the park. The agglomeration of the scientific instrument industry is expected to be accelerated there in the near future.
