Shipowners, logistics companies recruit in Shinan

More than 30 shipping logistics companies and shipowners recently gathered at a job fair in the Shinan district of Qingdao city – in East China's Shandong province – and offered more than 70 positions for their shipping sales and shipping operations, according to local media reports on June 11.
The companies also reportedly plan to recruit more than 300 personnel related to shipping logistics.
The job fair also went online and it attracted more than 500 applicants to compete for the jobs.
In recent years, Shinan has actively developed its shipping and associated logistics industry. Currently, there are more than 3,000 shipping logistics enterprises based there, accounting for 70 percent of the total number of businesses in the sector in Qingdao.
For three consecutive years, more than 20 enterprises above a designated scale – those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($3.1 million) or more – have been added annually in Shinan, bringing the total number of shipping enterprises above a designated size to 170.
Additionally, its number of 5A-level logistics enterprises and total number of A-level logistics enterprises rank Shinan first in the city.
