Shinan district launches cultural, creative competition

The Shinan district of Qingdao city – in East China's Shandong province – recently launched a cultural and creative competition.
Local media reported that the 2021 Qingdao First Intangible Cultural Heritage Cultural and Creative Competition was held on April 27.
Themed on "Inheritance, Innovation and Sharing", the event aims to promote cultural and creative products with intangible cultural heritage in Qingdao. It is seeking out traditional craftsmen with outstanding skills and achievements, as well as collecting outstanding examples of traditional intangible cultural heritage.
At the launch, a promotional video was released which showcased the historical development of intangible cultural heritage and highlighted Chinese civilization, but also reflected the value of innovation and ancient wisdom in contemporary society.
The competition invited companies and public institutions, colleges and universities, as well as design institutes and designers from all over the country to participate.
In addition, 10 individuals or teams will be selected from contestants and awarded with the honorary title of "Qingdao top ten craftsman".
