The launch ceremony of 2021 Qingdao Youth Talent Training Camp and the new Shinan branch of the Qingdao College Students Internship Training Center was held on April 22 in the Shinan district of Qingdao city – in East China's Shandong province – according to local media reports.
The Youth Talent Training Camp is an event designed to attract more top young people to come and join the Qingdao workforce and even become entrepreneurs there.
Its goal is to help colleges and universities to issue a series of recruitment policies. The idea is to boost employment and personnel matchmaking between colleges and local enterprises, enabling the students to gain an in-depth understanding of Qingdao through the event.
At the launch ceremony, a group of 12 universities, including Shandong University (Qingdao) and Ocean University of China, signed school-enterprise cooperation agreements with 13 well-known companies.
To date, a total of 58 businesses have become involved with the district's internship base certification, taking on 1,260 college graduates for internships.
The Qingdao College Students Internship Training Center reportedly can provide 3,100 internship positions throughout the year, helping the development of a stable internship base which benefits the overall employment situation.
At the launch ceremony, three new youth employment apprentice (practice and training) bases in Shinan were given awards, while 12 Shinan employment service volunteers were also awarded with letters of appointment.
