The Shinan district of Qingdao city in East China's Shandong province is making moves to expand its links to the China Education Federation of the Arts, or CEFA.
On April 13, Zhao Yan, Party secretary of Shinan, visited the offices of CEFA in Beijing to investigate and survey preparations for the 2021 China (Qingdao) Arts Fair. They exchanged ideas on how to develop the event as a platform to drive the district forwards as a creative urban center, according to reports in the local media.
Li Li, chairman of CEFA, said that as a national academic organization, the body had a large pool of talent, extensive contacts and significant resources that it could mobilize. The China Arts Fair has now been held for two years in a row and the event is reportedly expanding rapidly.
To develop the Qingdao fair as an open platform, CEFA is making greater efforts to develop the cultural and artistic creative urban area of Shinan, Li added.
During the meeting, the Shinan district government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CEFA.
