As Spring Festival rapidly approaches, in a bid to secure the best possible outcome for novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control during the holidays, the authorities in Shinan district -- in Qingdao city in East China's Shandong province -- have closely coordinated and actively mobilized measures and guidance that includes advocating off-peak travel and encouraging people to stay put during the break.
Some 1,260 sanitation workers from Shinan who are migrant workers have all responded to the call to "stay put in Shinan for Spring Festival".
On Feb 3, officials from Shinan visited the front-line sanitation workers who will remain at their posts during the break.
The officials congratulated them for being committed to their posts and thanked them for their hard work to create a beautiful, comfortable and clean city environment.
They also brought gifts such as hats and scarves to the outdoor sanitation workers and cold-proof cotton vests for them.
