Shinan district in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, has fostered a new development model revolving around domestic circulation and is dedicated to boosting the local nighttime economy.
Qingdao was selected as one of "China's Top 20 Cities in Nighttime Economy" at the 2020 China Night Economic Forum, and its efforts to develop the nighttime economy have helped it recover from the COVID-19 epidemic.
St. Emil Church began putting on dazzling evening light shows in late October, adding some glitz and glamour to Qingdao's Zhongshan Road business district.
In addition, the Moon Market in Taipingjiao, held from noon to sundown every Friday to Sunday, was launched in late December and will continue until New Year's Day.
The market is located near a number of European-style restaurants, as well as Taipingjiao Beach's seaside plank road, where visitors can enjoy great nighttime views.
