A calligraphy and painting activity was held in Shinan district, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province on Dec 23 to honor model workers and celebrate the upcoming new year.

During the event, famous calligraphers and painters talked with each other and expressed their passion through writing.

Calligraphers and painters from Shinan created a number of festive works and dedicated them to the model workers and others artists.

The 2020 national model workers, Yin Caishan and Guan Yan'an, as well as model workers at the provincial, ministerial, and municipal levels and model workers from Shinan district, were invited to participate in the activity.
