The Qingdao International Technology Transfer Conference and the 2nd SCO Member States Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held in Shinan district, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province, in early December.

The SCO Member Technology Transfer Center in Shanghai was launched during the opening ceremony. The center is located in the Shinan Software Park and covers nearly 20,000 square meters. It is the first new international scientific and technological cooperation platform in China with a focus on marketization, internationalization and specialization.

Contracts involving the cross-border industry between Shinan and industrial enterprises from home and abroad and technological commercialization achievements were shared between participants and new platforms were launched during the event.

By virtue of the advantages of Norway Enterprise Association's industrial resources, Norwegian enterprises will be able to connect with domestic enterprises in Shinan, introducing foreign advanced technologies and promoting cooperation between Qingdao and Bergen, Qingdao's twin city in Norway.
