Shinan district, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province is lending its full support to local enterprises and striving to improve its business environment, according to local media on Dec 13.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to promote the resumption of work and production among local enterprises, the bureau of human resources and social security in Shinan district launched an online recruitment platform, coordinated high-quality job postings and set up a direct online recruitment channel for colleges, universities and enterprises.

Sixteen meetings were held to discuss the implementation of preferential policies for enterprises, and rent reductions of 48.55 million yuan ($7.4 million) were granted to 473 enterprises and individual businesses.

In an effort to boost the district's economic development, the district announced 20 new policies during the 2020 Qingdao Shinan Entrepreneurs Conference in November to attract investment and recruit experts.

A total number of 347 items stationed in the office all realized that "one window application acceptance" and "application review and approval without face-to-face contact", the electronic application rate for new enterprise's registration has achieved 85 percent to date.
