The launching ceremony for the "Searching for Flavor in Shinan" 2020 Shinan Tasty Food List was held in HI CITY, a landmark in Shinan, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province, and the twin towers of Shinan were lit up at the same time, according to local media on Dec 13.

Liu Fengqiang, head of Shinan's catering association, said that consumers born in the 1980s and 1990s have become the main sources of food consumption in the city, which has been further boosted by the popularity of online ordering.

The activity consists of four parts: the Alibaba (China's digital giant) Local Life Double 12 Super Fan Carnival, the Double 12 online shopping event hosted by popular livestreamer Li Jiaqi, food exploration by foodies, and the release of the 2020 Shinan Tasty Food List.
