The Shinan district of Qingdao city -- in East China's Shandong province -- has rolled out a raft of measures to help graduates hunt for jobs, providing more than 2,000 internship positions throughout this year, according to local media on Nov 3.
The district has used WeChat accounts, websites and other approaches to vigorously promote its internship employment policy, while also this year tapping seven new high-quality enterprises and institutions as sources of internships. Shinan has currently invited 51 enterprises participating in its internship program, including home appliance company Hisense and the Institute of Oceanology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, in a bid to actively promote the resumption of work and production of local enterprises, the bureau of human resources and social security in Shinan district launched an online recruitment platform, coordinated high-quality job postings and set up a direct online recruitment channel for colleges and universities and enterprises.
Four exclusive bilateral network selection events have been held in Shinan so far this year, which provided job hunters with opportunities through live broadcasts, attracting a total of more than 520,000 online viewings.
