Shinan district, Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, is making efforts to develop a more attractive business environment, according to local media on Oct 21.
Shinan is currently home to 50 regional headquarters of the world's top 500 companies, 18 buildings and parks with tax revenue over 100 million yuan ($15 million), and more than half of the city's grade-A commercial buildings.
"In recent years, Shinan has been making strong efforts to create a first-class business environment," said Chen Peng, director of the administrative examination and approval bureau of Shinan.
In 2018, Shinan led the establishment of the city's administrative examination and approval service bureau, streamlining "examination and approval" procedures.
In 2019, the district led the city in the establishment of a "non-differentiated comprehensive acceptance" window, reducing the total number of service windows from 52 to 36.
In 2020, Shinan has been focusing on providing government services for commercial supermarkets and buildings, and has set up 17 government self-service terminals in communities, banks, supermarkets and buildings, resulting in the first 24-hour self-service zone in Shandong's Taipingjiao Community.
