Domestic tourism in China experienced a rebound during the eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday. The Olympic Sailing Center in Qingdao's Shinan district, the city's most popular attraction, received more than 260,000 tourism visits during the holiday.
The Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center's "Diamond of the Sea" football field, the first offshore football field in China, was officially put into use on Oct 1, the first day of the holiday, hosting the "Qingdao Angel in White Cup" (referring to hospital nurses) anti-epidemic medical staff football match.
The futsal field can serve as both a football field and basketball court. In the future, it will host other types of event as well, and will strive to integrate Qingdao's marine and sports cultures.
And the "Aofan · Life" tourist business street was the most popular spot around the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center during the holiday owing to its distinct style.
Covering an area of 3,000 square meters, the business street is home to many mobile "container style" shops which contain an array of cultural and creative products and offer a variety of leisure and entertainment options, music bars, artificial intelligence products and other goods.
The Olympic Sailing Museum, located at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, was also a hot spot during the holiday. It houses a wide variety of collections from both the Olympic Games as well as the Olympic Sailing Competitions.
