A job fair for college graduates was held by Shinan district, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province at the Ocean University of China on Sept 24.

More than 500 college students applied for jobs at the fair, with participating enterprises receiving 1,100 resumes. In the end, 200 applicants received job offers.

The Shinan District Human Resources and Social Security Bureau recruited a number of experts and established the first "expert group for graduate student employment services" to provide professional advice for college students looking for jobs.

The consultation group set up four areas for policy consultations, career assessments, interview counseling, and legal counseling, respectively. A variety of guidance and counseling services were provided to college graduates, more than 120 of which took advantage of the services.
