The launch ceremony of the "Shinan Science Popularization Map" was held in Shinan district, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province on Aug 26.

An electronic version of the map was also launched at the event. It can be directly accessed by clicking the menu which they are interested in.

The map, using a panoramic view, features 29 science popularization bases and includes brief introductions, addresses, what bus to take to get there, and an interesting hand-drawn map, making things easy for anyone looking to pay a visit.

"The map deftly combines science and technology with internet+. We are actively exploring better ways to popularize scientific and technological innovation in Shinan, and striving to improve the public's understanding and appreciation of science and culture," said Sun Aijun, chairman of the science association in Shinan district.
