To better display Shinan's achievements in scientific and technological innovation and promote popular science resources, the launch ceremony of the Shinan science map and the promotion meeting of superior popular science bases kicked off in the district integrated media center on Aug 26.

The map illustrates the 29 bases in Shinan district, Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, in panorama, and includes information such as a brief introduction, the address and transport details, as well as a hand-drawn map, providing convenience for citizens and tourists intending to travel to the district.

"The issuing of the Shinan science map is a perfect combination of science and technology work and Internet Plus," Sun Aijun, chairman of the district science association, said. "We are exploring more innovative ways suitable for science popularization to enable more people to learn about and use new technologies."

Three superior popular science bases – Hisense Sci-exploration Center, Qingdao Posts & Telecommunications Museum and Qingdao Yinhai International Yacht Club – made presentations at the promotion meeting.
