Summer is peak season for tourism in Qingdao in East China's Shandong province. This year, the COVID-19 outbreak has meant that overseas and inter-provincial tourism have been greatly reduced, and provincial and leisure tourism have become popular again.
As the summer heat looms over many domestic cities, the moderate temperatures of around 20 C and breezy coastal landscapes in Qingdao are attracting many tourists looking to escape the heat.
To seize the opportunity of attracting tourists this summer, various scenic spots and hotels in Shinan district have launched the "night scene mode" to boost the nighttime economy of the island city.
Qingdao Undersea World has been open to the public for more than 10 years, and this year, it opened circling bus from its site to the Olympic Sailing Center, connecting two of the city's best tourist venues.
Qingdao Underwater World is a famous scenic spot in Qingdao, combining underwater tourism with popular marine science, making it a unique scenic spot on the golden coast of Qingdao.
Additionally, the light show at Qingdao Fushan Bay attracts many visitors at night, and is shown every night at 8 pm and 8:30 pm, apart from Mondays. It is also a hotspot that attracts many tourists.
