Shinan applies "smart" approaches to solve parking problems

Shi Xiaolin, an office worker at an internet enterprise in a software park in Shinan district, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province, can automatically access a parking app on her cell phone to learn the real-time situation at her parking lot every morning before she leaves home.
"There are a lot of employees in the park, so parking resources are quite limited. Through this software, we can know in advance where there are available parking spaces," Shi said.
Another app user, surnamed Su, said: "When I used to arrive at the hospital, I parked my car nearby because there was no suitable parking space. With the 'Wit-parking' app, I can just take my family to see a doctor and drive away when I come back. The parking charge will be deducted automatically."
This Wit-parking app is provided by Songli Holding Group Co Ltd, which is based in the software park in Shinan. Since Songli's establishment in 2014, the platform has served dozens of cities such as Beijing, Guiyang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Zhengzhou and Lanzhou, operating nearly a thousand car yards and parking lots, managing more than 100,000 berths and serving more than 1 million car owners.
The app collects big data on urban parking through internet and big data technology. It can provide car owners with services such as electronic payment, answering parking queries, making parking reservations and providing parking navigation.
