Shinan district, Qingdao in East China's Shandong province, launched its summer shopping season on July 31.

Shinan is expected to further integrate night consumption resources and launch more than 100 night consumption activities with six themes – food, shopping, travel, entertainment, night shows and night reading – to build a new mode of fashionable consumption combining online and offline methods.

The district has planned a series of activities for "Fashion Shinan in Qingdao" (璀璨湾城) in the summer shopping season. Shinan will set up six distinctive and well-functioning consumer, business and living circles in the six bay areas, further connecting night economy landmarks, and building a night economy development pattern.

Fushan Bay

Around Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, Shinan is focusing on the development of night tours in Fushan Bay, and is launching themed activities such as catering month, Qixi (the Chinese equivalent of Valentine's Day) party and maritime wedding banquets. 

Taiping Bay

A series of activities will be held, including the introduction of famous musicians to Taipingjiao beach events and activities related to intangible cultural heritage.

Huiquan Bay

On Daxue Road, a web-celebrated road, a coffee-themed evening cultural experience will be held, the Coffee of Qingdao cultural brand will be promoted, and evening leisure reading place will be encouraged.

Qingdao Bay

Relying on Zhongshan Road area, clubs and web-celebrated landmarks will be cultivated to develop film and television culture, cultural creativity, leisure food and other business forms.

Tuandao Bay

An exhibition of cultural and creative works from the Palace Museum in Beijing will be launched and themed cultural exchange activities will be held.

Xiaogang Bay

Xiaogang will carry out themed activities such as Qingdao Time, and create a one-stop shopping and entertainment paradise for dining, drinking and entertainment.
