Renovation and construction work has been carried out in Shinan district, Qingdao, turning it into the city's fashion center.

The Chinese headquarters of China Stone, located at No 37 Hong Kong Middle Road, is a key project introduced by the local government. It is expected to establish a self-developed music studio, a creative fashion area, and a professional LIVE house in line with Qingdao's music support program.

In addition, the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology's fashion research institute at No 33 Taiping Road, located in the district, will be turned into a new influential landmark. Several fashion enterprises will start operating there in the near future and a number of fashion competitions will be held.

The institute has a lot of potential due to its advantageous location, fashion resources, industrial foundation for textiles and garments, and the strong business environment.

An e-commerce live streaming center funded by Aoyi Industry Group Co officially began operating at the Oceanwide Plaza at the end of May. 

The center is expected to focus on e-commerce live streaming, the cultivation of internet celebrities and new internet-based retail sales, and provide a boost to the e-commerce live streaming economy.

"HI CITY", a cultural and commercial complex established in the district in May, is expected to boost China's nighttime economy while focusing on music and art, start-up incubation, internet celebrity cultivation, fashion trends, and cultural exchange.

Renovations have also begun in the old urban area, with old buildings being strengthened and footbridges on Zhongshan Road being removed.
