Museum livestreaming breathes new life into old stories

A livestreaming was hosted at the Taihsitschen Museum in Shinan district, Qingdao on June 20. Shen Mingshu, a local online celebrity, and his granddaughter were invited to recount the history of Taihsitschen at the museum.
During the livestreaming, Shen and his granddaughter, together with online viewers, admired 1980s household decorations and antiques from the town.
Shen described the town's favorable location and explored several landmarks such as Taihsitschen Park, Tiancheng Theater and Tianyi Palace through old photos, wall paintings and antiques.
According to Cen Xiaojing, general manager of Qingdao Jinmao Harbor Shopping Center, where the museum is located, an exhibition will be held at the museum on June 25 to showcase the city's landscapes and daily life in the past.
Old streets, ancient buildings and trolleybuses will be restored at the exhibition. Through real life scenes, visitors will be able to learn about how people celebrated festivals in the past and what they did at the bazaars.
