A group of enterprise representatives and journalists visited the Haitian Center in Shinan district, Qingdao on June 19, where they were able to enjoy a bird's-eye view of the coastal city from atop the main building, which is 369 meters above the ground.
The visit served as part of a forum on city headquarters economy and industrial transformation as well as a global press conference for the Haitian Center.
The Haitian Center is among the first group of key projects in Shandong province to promote industrial transformation and is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Funded by Qingdao Guoxin Group, the center is designed to take a leading role among coastal areas in China.
Covering 490,000 square meters, the center integrates eight major parts – the first-class office building, the five-star Haitian Hotel, the ST Regis Hotel, the Art Center, the Observation Deck, the Diamond Club, the Haitian Mall and the Haitian Residence.
The office building will provide a high-quality work environment for local enterprises, and the Haitian Hotel will benefit the city's business conferences with the largest banquet hall in the city's urban area.
The ST Regis Hotel, the first of its kind in the province, will cater to government heads and celebrities from different countries. The Art Center will hold artistic exhibitions, and the observation deck will offer sightseeing from a glass platform.
The Haitian Mall will offer an experiential shopping experience, while the Haitian Residence is expected to provide a pleasant living experience surrounded by coastal landscapes.
