Agricultural products from Pingba district, Anshun, Guizhou province and Dangchang county, Longnan, Gansu province are being promoted in 14 communities in Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province for one week starting June 8, with the help of local property management enterprises.

The promotional activity aims to help sell specialties in the two places and boost cooperation in poverty alleviation between East and West China. It also allows local residents to enjoy different kinds of agricultural products from the two places.

The activity serves as a platform giving residents in Shinan district the chance to try foods from Pingba district and Dangchang county, expanding the market for high-quality agricultural products in poverty-stricken areas.

During the activity, the chef of a famous local restaurant was also invited to cook various dishes using ingredients from Pingba and Dangchang. In addition, residents can also receive free food if they successfully answer the provided questions.

"The activity benefits both the residents and the producers. It's great for us old people to buy good agricultural products without having to go far from home," said a resident surnamed Wang.
