Old items tell stories in Shinan

To celebrate International Archives Day, the archives center of Shinan district, Qingdao is hosting a special exhibition from June 8 to 12 through the joint efforts of a local cultural enterprise and an art center focusing on antiques.
International Archives Day, which falls on June 9, is celebrated to support archives and the profession. It was initiated by the International Council on Archives (ICA) in 2007.

The exhibition showcases more than 200 items used in daily life, such as televisions, sewing machines, certificates and old posts, ranging from the early days of New China to the beginning of the 21st century.
This exhibition tells stories about the past and also embodies people's hope for a better life in modern times.
