In celebration of New Year's Day, volunteers performed in a flash mob hosted by the Qingdao municipal bureau of culture and tourism in Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province on Jan 1.

The flash mob consisted of singing, dancing, and magic shows. Performers offered New Year blessings and an immersive artistic experience.

During the performance, 24 beautiful girls in gauzy dresses walked down from an escalator and sang a song to demonstrate their affection for Qingdao.

The song My country, My People was also performed. Many passersby recognized the popular melody and merrily joined in. 

The flash mob is part of a series of activities in celebration of the New Year meant to attract visitors to the province. Shinan district has organized several winter tourist activities in order to increase consumption by tourists.
