A center promoting civilized development and combining various forms of media opened in Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province on Dec 27.
The two-floor center includes an exhibition area, an auditorium, a control room, a studio, a data center, a news collection area, a cultural corridor, and more. It covers an area of about 2,000 square meters in total.
The 500-sq-m auditorium has two floors and is able to accommodate 339 people. It has equipment for hosting talk shows, press conferences, lectures, training sessions, and performances.
An experiential station will also allow visitors to view ultra-high-definition live broadcasts outside the studio with the help of a 5G network and virtual reality helmets.
The district plans to use the new center to explore new models of civilized development and organize more related activities with the help of local volunteers. It also hopes to further combine various media platforms.
An app entitled "Fashion Shinan" was also launched the day of the center's opening ceremony. It is meant to serve as a source of local news and information.
