A visit to Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province was held on Dec 20, as part of the 2019 Qingdao Wedding Culture Week.

A total of 66 young and elderly couples from different provinces, such as Jiangsu, Anhui, Heilongjiang and Gansu, joined in the visit, along with representatives from several tourist and wedding-related enterprises.

The couples, all dressed alike, enjoyed the beautiful landscapes on a retro trolley car that passed through characteristic streets of Shinan district, creating a sweet atmosphere.

Participants visited a Christian church, the 1907 Light and Shadow Club, the Olympic Sailing Center, and the Qingdao International Convention Center. 

The couples were sent "new family teachings", which has been newly created as a special part of weddings in the district and is considered a useful guide for people in creating a good family in the new era.

They wrote down their promises and wishes on small balls and put the balls into transparent boxes in the shape of "LOVE". They also let off colorful balloons together.
