A themed activity for young volunteers was held on Dec 5 in Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province, to mark International Volunteer Day.
More than 50 young volunteers from different industries in the district participated in the activity, promoting volunteerism and spreading their positive energy.
The volunteers first visited a service center and a training base in the district. The visits were aimed at encouraging young volunteers to participate in activities that served the public.
After the visits, the volunteers engaged a team building activity, learning how to work in teams and strengthening their awareness of cooperation through several games. They shared their experiences in voluntary services and built close ties with each other.
Shinan district has highlighted the work of young volunteers in recent years and established a reliable platform to support volunteer groups.
The district's volunteer groups have successfully completed their tasks in several competitions and activities, such as the Qingdao World University Student Fashion Design Competition and the Sino-European Entrepreneurs Summit Qingdao Forum.
Groups that care for the elderly, help disabled people and provide first-aid services are growing as more young people become volunteers.
