A number of entrepreneurs in Qingdao – in East China's Shandong province – recently praised the city's urban economic development, to welcome the 2022 Qingdao Entrepreneurs Day, which fell on Nov 1.
Launched in 2021, Qingdao Entrepreneurs Day is designed to show the city's respect, support and protection of entrepreneurs – as well as to convey its ambitions to promote the development of businesses and spur entrepreneurship and innovation.
In addition to Qingdao Entrepreneurs Day, a variety of events are held there to bolster the development of enterprises – including the 2022 Qingdao Specialized, Refined, Characteristic and Novel Small and Medium-sized Enterprises High-Quality Development Conference. Then there are the private economic creative conferences, which have held 12 sessions since 2019 and have witnessed investment worth over 40 billion yuan ($5.52 billion).
The city is continuing to optimize its business environment to promote the development of the private economy and boost its innovative strength. As a result, the private sector has now become a main player in Qingdao's economic and social development, as well as its innovation and entrepreneurship.
Qingdao has also introduced policies to support and encourage innovation and the business savvy of its entrepreneurs, who will in return help advance the high-quality development of the city.
