This year, Qingdao has made outstanding achievements in manufacturing, and its leading industries have gradually climbed their way to the world's elite ranks.

Manufacturing is the foundation of Qingdao's economy, and over the years, the city has made significant development in the manufacturing industry, leading to strong economic growth.

Qingdao has gathered a number of leading enterprises such as Haier, Hisense, Tsingtao Brewery, Doublestar, Aucma, Sailun, and TELD, in the fields of home appliances, rubber tires, and new energy charging. These enterprises are leaders in industrial innovation and have helped enhance Qingdao's industrial innovation capabilities.

Qingdao has also established two national-level manufacturing innovation centers for smart home appliances and virtual reality, as well as two national-level advanced manufacturing industry clusters for smart home appliances and rail transportation equipment. It is home to six national-level new industrialization industry demonstration bases and 31 national-level manufacturing single-item champions, all of which have laid the foundation for breakthroughs in innovation.

At the Chery Qingdao Super Factory, the first large-scale customized industrial internet platform in the automotive industry, jointly built by Cosmo-Plat and Chery, has provided crucial support for the factory. Here, a brand-new vehicle comes off the assembly line every 1.5 minutes. Supported by the world's strongest AI quality control system, it can achieve intelligent linkage and high-density flexible final assembly, rapidly switching between different production models.

In 2023 alone, Qingdao has nurtured more than 80 municipal-level smart factories, digitalized workshops, and automated production lines. The Haier Qingdao Washing Machine Interconnected Factory has been selected as a global lighthouse factory, and 19 national-level intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories and excellent scenes have been introduced.

Next, Qingdao plans to accelerate the promotion of the service-oriented manufacturing model and promote the transformation of manufacturing enterprises.
